4-Day Agadir Desert Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Agadir to Ouarzazate

We will start our 4-day desert tour from Agadir to Ouarzazate. During this tour, we will drive through several Berber communities in the Sous Valley. We will stop at Taroudant, also known as “Little Marrakech,” which was built as a military base to protect against the Portuguese invasion. You will have time to explore the town’s old Medina before moving on to Taliouine and Taznakht.

Our next stop is the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, which is the largest in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will then go to the movie city in Ouarzazate, which is famous for its Atlas Studios. Many movies and TV shows, such as Prison Break and Gladiator, were filmed there. You will get a tour of the studios, and we will take you to your accommodation at the end of the day.

Day 2: Ouarzazate to Merzouga desert

We will resume the 4-day desert tour from Agadir after breakfast. We will visit the Skoura and Rose Valley oasis areas and then go to Todgha Gorges to have lunch and look at the beautiful walls of the canyon. After that, we will visit Touroug and Erfoud. Once we get to Merzouga desert, we will take the camels across the Erg Chebbi sand dunes to reach the Berber desert camp where you will spend the night. While you enjoy your time under the beautiful starry sky, the locals will entertain you with music around the fire.

Day 3: Merzouga to Agdez

On this day of your 4-day desert tour from Agadir, you will have a great chance to see a beautiful sunrise from the top of the dunes. After that, you’ll have breakfast, and then we’ll go to Rissani. We’re going to look at a normal market in this city that gets really busy on Souk days. You can buy classic things if you are interested. Then we’ll go across the Draa Valley, stopping at Alnif, Tazarrine, and Nkob along the way. You can choose to drive off-road over the historic caravan path and old kasbahs on your way to Agdez.

Day 4: Agdez to Agadir

We leave Agdz after breakfast and drive to Taznakht, a town known for its Berber rugs and gelims. We pass through beautiful scenery and the Bouazzer mines on our way. This part of the country is less traveled and more rural. Then, we’ll take the Tizi-n-Ikhsane and Tizi-n-Tighatine passes to get to Agadir from the west. We stop for lunch in Taliouine, which is in the saffron-growing region of Morocco.

There is a great, small museum there that is all about the art of saffron farming. In the afternoon, the road takes us back to Taroudant. From there, we follow the often-dry Souss River and the many argan trees that grow on the mountain sides back to Agadir, where we arrive at the end of the afternoon.

It was fun to take the trip. What was most important was that we found a very responsible driver and guide in Ali, and that Aziz was a very nice and patient person. They took us to all the sights and made sure we had a full program every day. The rooms were also nice and made sure everything worked. When you compare this travel agency's prices to those of other travel agencies, they are still fair. There were lots of great things about the trip, and Ali and Aziz were great hosts. Coming here and traveling is a good idea.

Agadir Desert Tour

We just got back from a wonderful trip through the middle of Morocco to the Merzouga desert. A trip with Youssef and Hamid, two great guys who made the time we spent together very enjoyable. The hotels we stayed in and the restaurants we stopped at for food were both great. The night in the desert was great and we enjoyed every second of our stay. We are three people who work with Hamid from Touring in Morocco to plan trips and transportation. For four days, from Agadir, they went through Morocco's imperial towns. Hassan was our driver for the whole trip. He was very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive. The car was brand new and very nice. Hamid cared a lot about us and called us every day to see how our trip was going. It was a great trip that lived up to our hopes. Thank you all so much.
