Itinerary for the 4 days tour from Agadir:
Day 1: Agadir to Ouarzazate:
We will travel to Ouarzazate on the first day of our 4-day desert tour itinerary from Agadir. In the Sous Valley, we will travel through numerous fascinating Berber communities. We’ll get the opportunity to explore Taroudant, dubbed “Little Marrakech” by locals. The Saadian dynasty built the town as a military outpost to counter the Portuguese invasion. You will also explore its old Medina before continuing on to Taliouine and Taznakht.
The Kasbah castle of Ait Benhaddou will be our next visit. The latter is Morocco’s largest Kasbah and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After that, we’ll drive to Ouarzazate’s movie city. It is well-known for its Atlas Studios, which makes it an excellent site for filming. Many films and television productions, including Prison Break and Gladiator, were filmed there. You will be able to tour their studios, and we will transport you to your lodging at the conclusion of the day.
Day 2: Ouarzazate to Merzouga desert:
After breakfast, we’ll begin our 4 days desert tours from Agadir to Merzouga in the Sahara desert. Before then, we’ll go via the Skoura and Rose Valley oasis areas before arriving at Todgha Gorges. We’ll stop there for lunch and to take in the canyon’s breathtaking walls. Following that, we’ll visit Touroug, Erfoud, and Merzouga. Your camels will be waiting for you when you get at Merzouga. You’ll ride them across the Erg Chebbi sand dunes to a native Berber tent for the night. As you relax and enjoy your time under a beautiful starry sky, locals will entertain you with music around the fire.
Day 3: Merzouga to Agdz:
You will have an excellent chance to watch a beautiful sunrise from the top of the dunes on this day of your 4-day desert tour from Agadir. Following that, you will have breakfast before we go for Rissani. We will go through a typical market in this city that becomes packed on Souk days. There are traditional items for sale. Then we’ll journey across the Draa Valley, passing via Alnif, Tazarrine, and Nkob. On your trip to Agdez, you’ll have the option of driving off-road over the historic caravan route and ancient kasbahs.
Day 4: Agdez to Agadir:
After breakfast, we drive from Agdz to Taznakht, a town famous for its Berber gelims and carpets. On the way, we travel through beautiful landscape and the Bouazzer mines. This is a more isolated and off-the-beaten-path region of the country. Later, we will go west to Agadir over the Tizi-n-Ikhsane and Tizi-n-Tighatine passes. We stop for lunch at Taliouine, Morocco’s saffron-growing region, where there is an excellent modest museum dedicated to the art of saffron farming. The path returns us to Taroudant in the afternoon, where we follow the often-dry Souss River and innumerable argane trees on all the mountain slopes back to Agadir, where we arrive at the end of the afternoon.

Destinations overview:
Merzouga desert:
Merzouga is a town in southern Morocco near the Algerian border that is home to a large number of Berbers, North Africa’s original population. It’s around 500 kilometers east of Marrakech, Morocco’s primary tourist destination.
Because it is literally “right there” in the middle of the desert, Merzouga is a popular tourist destination in the Sahara. A short stroll along the rural road from the plaza where the long-distance bus stops will bring you to a panoramic view of the vast sand dunes on your right.
Ouarzazate:
The gorgeous Ouarzazate, a stunning blend of oases, kasbahs, and thriving valleys, rises at the threshold of the vast south. In a wide desert plateau that attracts travelers from all over the world. The city of Ouarzazate has nestled down in the shelter of its palm palms, leaving behind it a stony expanse scoured by all of the Sahara’s winds. The city of Ouarzazate and its surrounding surroundings provide an excellent natural setting for film shooting, which has drawn Hollywood’s top producers and filmmakers for years.
The region of Ouarzazate, which has always piqued the interest of historians, remains a mystery to them, despite the fact that archaeological research has revealed the existence of various civilizations that would have lived in this region, as well as a very old human occupation: rock engravings dating back to prehistoric times have been discovered.
Ait Benhaddou:
Morocco is well-known for its many Ksours or kasbahs, which were built in ancient times to safeguard the residents of a certain area. The most well-known kasbah is that of Ait Benhaddou. When on a desert trip in Morocco, you will generally travel by and stop at this magnificent location. This little town is an excellent example of Moroccan clay building. The presence of the Ounila river in front of this location adds to its uniqueness; in order to approach the settlement, you must cross the little river. The villagers have placed some pebbles along the path to allow you to access the settlement and explore it further.
Ait Benhaddou is a popular filming location as well as a tourist destination. This location has been used in several notable films, including parts of Lawrence of Arabia, Kingdom of Heaven, and Gladiator.
