Adventurous Morocco tours
There is nothing that can truly prepare you for the scenery that you will find in this region of Morocco. If you choose to go on one of our photography trips in Morocco, you will be transported to a different universe, one in which the rock formations, valleys, and desert sands present a moving kaleidoscope of color and texture against the backdrop of the snow-capped High Atlas Mountains. In addition to that, there are kasbahs, dunes, and oasis towns, making it a veritable feast for people who enjoy viewing gorgeous landscapes. The local families, some of whom are nomads and have become our friends, are the subjects of some of the most memorable photographs taken during the visit. Over the course of the previous nine years, we’ve worked to cultivate these relationships, which now make it possible for you to create portraits of them at your own leisure.
Unique photography tours
There are numerous photography tour itineraries available for Morocco that basically offer the same description of this region of the world. There is an aspect of the unusual in the itineraries that have been offered; Kasbahs, snow-capped mountain views, and village youngsters are all included. This tour is unique because you will be introduced to local families and individuals, and you will get the opportunity to photograph them in their own homes. Second, we will take you to the most unusual locations possible, at the finest times of day, so that you can take the photographs that you have in mind. If you don’t go into the experience with any preconceived notions about the kinds of pictures you desire, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the results. This tour will take you away from the cities and into the heart of the actual country, where the people and their ways of life are likely to be more interesting. In addition, there is a great deal of technical variability throughout the tour, which means that you will utilize the majority of your equipment.
Itinerary for the week
Your photographs are our number one concern. Those who have participated in the guided Morocco photography tours have a relatively strong commitment to acquiring memorable photos each day; hence, the itinerary is designed with this goal in mind. We drive only in the late morning or afternoon, when the light is at its most unfavorable, so that we can get at our destination in good time for landscape photography. Each day, we will provide you with a variety of opportunities to capture landscapes as well as people, either in the form of reportage or portraiture. We drive a total of 1800 kilometers during the tour, but you won’t be on the road every day, nor will you be moving hotels frequently; the pace is just right. We strike a good balance between offering a wide choice and ensuring that everything stays current. Because you’ll be shooting a lot of shots in a range of genres, you’ll end up with a lot of varied imagery. Bring your laptops and plenty of memory cards with you, because in the evenings there will be an opportunity to analyze the images from the previous day and give individual criticism.
Following the day of your arrival, on the first day from Marrakesh, we journey towards the desert, which provides some breathtaking views as well as opportunity to stop and shoot the communities that are located in the rural river valleys. Our arrival in Ait Benhaddou marks the beginning of a two-day excursion during which we will see the well-known ksar as well as some local homes. Then we will head to the east, and for days four and five, we will be based near the Gorges at Dades and Todra. Here, we will photograph rock formations as well as local residents and nomad families. Our next stop is the marvelous Ksar and the oasis of Elkhorbat, which are both located further into the desert. On day seven, we made it to the vibrant market of Rissini as well as the dunes at Merzouga, where you have the opportunity to spend the night in a desert camp. At the palmeraie in Skoura, where we are spending our final night before heading back to Marrakesh.
Your stays during the trips
The hotels on this journey have each been hand-picked for their one-of-a-kind aesthetics and quaint, historic ambiance. The high level of comfort has pleasantly surprised a great number of guests that chose Morocco photography tours. All of the accommodations come equipped with WiFi and air conditioning, and three of them even have swimming pools. There is no need to worry about room sharing or paying an additional fee if you are traveling alone because you will have your very own private bathroom that is attached to your room. Additionally, this is a very common choice for married people to make. Evening meals feature cuisine from the surrounding area and are provided in the hotels. The closer we get to the desert, the less options there are on the menus, and wine and beer are less regularly available. However, some of the restaurants do provide alcoholic beverages. Every hotel has options for those who follow vegan and vegetarian diets. Check out the above links for more information on selecting the ideal Morocco photography tours.
