Casablanca

With our tours, Casablanca,the economical city is an admired place to visit. Therefore, there are many locations that we will discover. To start with, the most and the main location is the mosque of Hassan II, it’s the only one in Morocco where none Muslims are allowed to enter. Secondly, the corniche of Ain Diab, the seaside where locals walk and where luxurious hotels, roads, and restaurants. Furthermore, there is also a bar and a restaurant called Rick’s Café, it’s where they made the famous movie Casablanca.

The capital city Rabat

With our tours from Casablanca, we will take you to discover the capital city of Rabat. Here, there are many attractions to see. To start with, the Hassan Tower or Tour is the minaret of an incomplete mosque that was intended to be the largest in the world. Yusuf Yaqub Al Mansur wanted to commission it to reach 86 m but as it’s incomplete, it’s only 44 m now. Next, we will visit Les Oudayas, it’s a Kasbah near the old Medina. Moreover, we will explore Chellah or Shalla, the medieval fortified Muslim necropolis. 

Tangier

Chefchaouen

Meknes

With our tour itineraries from Casablanca, you will be able to discover the charming city of Meknes. Firstly, on our tours coming from Chaouen to Meknes, we will explore Volubilis. Here, it’s required to have a ticket. These Roman ruins are protected by the Unesco Heritage and it was built by the Berbers.  About 20 km in Meknes. There, you will visit many places. For instance, the gate of Bab El Mansour, sometimes they open it to host exhibitions. Moreover, there is a small lake called Shrij Swani, the Basin of the Norias. It’s said that Moulay Ismail had many wives, and one of them asked to move to a city where there is a sea. Therefore, he brought the sea to her.

Furthermore, there is the most mysterious prison called Qara, not far from the gate of Bab El Mansour. It was built by Moulay Ismail in the 18th century, and it’s the only prison where there are no doors. Also, its corridors lead to other corridors, so it’s hard to find a way back once there. Some say it’s underground the whole city of Meknes, others say it’s only for ten km.

Also, there are holes in the ceiling, and that’s where the prisoners used to be thrown and also feed. It’s also said that Moulay Ismail has made a director so if the prisoners find it, they will be free. Not to mention, there were some French explorers who tried to enter the prisoner and find out its mystery, unfortunately, they couldn’t come out again. There are many theories about the prison, they say that it’s hunted by sparrows and genies, but we never know if that’s true or not.

Fes

To start with, the old part that is visited the most has many gates, the main one is called the blue gates, it’s the entrance to the medina. here, as you enter the gate, there are two main streets and it’s where people shop. Also, it’s where there are the main attractions to visit in Fes.

The University of Al Qarawiyyin has to be the first main thing to visit because it’s the oldest and still functioning university in the world. It was built by Fatima Al Fihri in 859. Secondly, The leather Chaouara Tanneries is also a tourists’ favorite place to explore. Here, people come to see how leather is made and also to have an overview of Fes. Thirdly, the king has 12 palaces and one of them is in Fes, it’s also a worth-visiting area. Forth, the Bor Nord, this one is for people who admire hiking, it’s also for an overview of the whole Fes and to enjoy the sunset. 

With our tours from Casablanca, you will visit Al Qarawiyyin University. It’s the oldest and still functioning Madrassa in the world. Also, it was built by Fatima Al Fihri in 859 as a Madrassa “school” to teach the Quran.

Casablanca

Ifrane is the Switzerland of Morocco. Here, people come to snowboard and to enjoy the weekends. The city was since the French colonial and there is a statue of the atlas lion in the center. This lion was carved by a German prisoner in order to gain his freedom. It’s the first cleanest city in Morocco and the 7th in the world.

Cedar forest at the Atlas Mountains of Azrou

The cedar forest in Azrou is to be a camping area and a place to discover Morocco’s animals. Here, there are many animals, the ones you can find are Barbary Macaque monkeys, they like to play with and be feed. Moreover, there are deers but unfortunately, we can’t see them because they are afraid of people and we can’t go further in the forest as there is a fence.

Erfoud

Erfoud is a small city near Merzouga, the Sahara desert. It’s also a worth visiting area with our tours from Casablanca. Here, people come every October to attend the international festival of 3 days carnival. Also, the city is famous for its mineral fossils like trilobites. 

Merzouga

Merzouga has to be the highlight of our Casablanca, Fes, Marrakech, and Tangier tours.  Here, you can camel trek and go camping at Berber tents. Merzouga is a small town in the southeast, it’s famous for its Erg Chebbi sand dunes and the Gnawa people.  If you come to Morocco, you shouldn’t miss visiting here. Also, we will take you to visit the Srij lake where the immigrant’s flamingos. Not to mention, there is a Mine of salt and Mascara, it’s also a worthwhile place to visit.

Rissani, the capital of Tafilalet

Rissani is the capital city of the Tafilalet region. Here, the Touaregs used to travel 52 days from Tombouctou to trade their goods like salt and mascara. Also, now this is the souq or the market for the towns nearby, Merzouga as an example. the Alaouiet dynasty is originally from here before they moved to live in the big cities. Moreover, Rissani is the only place where there is the parking of the donkeys. Furthermore, Rissani is famous for the pitta bread, they call it Madfouna.

The city has a gate like the blue gate in Fes but a bit different in the architecture.

Todgha and Dades Gorges

In the picture are the curves of Tissedrine in Dades gorges. Here, the American Cadillac car has made the record of climbing up and down 3 times in only 03:19 sec. This place is where most tourists spend the night either coming from Merzouga or Marrakech because it’s in between. Also, not far from Dades, there are the canyons of Todgha Gorges, they are about 300m height and the power of nature could make a way through them.

Tours to the valley of roses

Kalaat Mgouna is famous for its rose valley and the international festival of it. Here, every year in May they make an international festival of Rose flowers, they also choose the queen of Magouna, they choose her by her intelligence and beauty. Also, you can find many cosmetic products here.

Ouarzazate

Ouarzazate is the Hollywood of Africa. Therefore, they call it Ouallywood because there are many atlas studios there. Here, there is an international airport where actors land because they can’t drive from Marrakech across The High Atlas Mountains. Moreover, this city means the city without noise, Ouarzazate contains two Ouar means without and Zazate means noise. Furthermore, this big town is also famous for the Kasbah of Taourirt, and Kasbah is coming from the word Ksab and that means bamboo. That is to say, the roofs of the castle Kasbah is made out of the bamboo. Not to mention, Ouarzazate has 4 studios where they make movies and rent material to make others in the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. Also, parts of the movies The Living Daylights and Lawrence of Arabia were shot here. Moreover, the movies Asterix and also Mission Cleopatra.

Ait Benhaddou

The Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou is the largest and the biggest Kasbah in Morocco. Here, many tourists come to hike up for an overview from the top of the Castle. Also, they come to discover it and get to know how it’s built.

To start with, this beautiful architecture is a stop for the Berber Touaregs who traveled from Tombouctou to trade Salt. Moreover, there is a river or a valley there called Ouad El Maleh. That is to say, salt or the river of salt. It’s where they trade their salt and other goods like mascara. Furthermore, the Kasbah has about 7 floors, and at the top, there is a room where they save all those good for other travelers.  Not to mention, the actors rent materials at the studios of Ouarzazate to come here and shot movies. For instance, they shot the famous movie Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. Also, they made some parts of

  • Jesus of Nazareth in 1977

There are many other movies they made here. It’s a very famous attraction not to miss when visiting the Kasbah.

The Atlas Mountains

The Atlas Mountains are three types. The hight, the middle, and the antique. The middle ones are between Fes and Merzouga desert, the high is between Marrakech and Ouarzazate also between Fes and Merzouga. Then, the antique is further south, coming from Agadir to Ouarzazate. Furthermore, the High Atlas mountains are where the highest point, it’s in Toubkal. 

These mountains are the reason why it’s dry in the Sahara and wet, green in the west. That’s to say, they block the clouds from moving to the east. Therefore, it rains very late in the Sahara desert. Not to mention, coming from Marrakech to the desert, you will pass by Tizi n Tichka, the fastest route to cross the mountains. With our tours from Marrakech, about 30 min drive in the Atlas mountains, there is a cooperative of the argan oil, one of the admired attractions to discover.

Marrakech

Marrakech is one of the imperial cities in Morocco. That is to say, it was a capital once. Also, our tours from Casablanca include trips to the other imperial cities, Fes, Meknes, and the actual capital Rabat. Marrakech is two words, Amur n Kush, that means in Berber land of God. Also, it’s the 3rd largest city in Morocco before the economical Casablanca and the cultural Fes.

There many things to do and see here. Firstly, the famous garden of Majorelle, named after the French artist Jacques Majorelle, after it took him 40 years to design. Then, he opened it for the public with a fee needed to enter. Secondly, Another beautiful garden with a pool, it’s the Menara garden. That’s to say, lighthouse. However, there is no lighthouse here, it just took the name. Not to mention, this garden that is in the south of Marrakech was built in the 12th century. 

Thirdly, the king has 12 palaces in Morocco, he has one here in Marrakech. However, he doesn’t live here, he lives usually in Rabat. It’s also a worthy place to discover.

Fourthly, there is this beautiful mosque you see in the picture, it’s the Koutoubia mosque. It has many names, among them,  Jami ‘al-Kutubiyah. Also, it was built in the 12th century by the dynasty Almohad. Moreover, It’s the largest mosque in Marrakech, about 70 meters, and it’s forbidden to build a taller mosque. Furthermore, Jamaa El Fna has to be the best square where to wander around in Marrakech. Here, people shop, concert, and enjoy the people who play with snakes and monkeys.

Tours to Essaouira

Essaouira is also another destination to visit with our desert tours from Casablanca. Here, people travel to during the summertime to enjoy the beach, it’s warm at about 24°C=75°F. Also, Essaouira is a wonderful place to visit during the winter, people come here to enjoy the seafood. Not to mention, Essaouira also has the name of the Moroccan wind city. Moreover, there are many things to do here. For instance, a visit to the ports of Citadel and Sqala. Furthermore, people come here to visit the old Medina as it is protected by the Unesco. 

You may hear the word Mogador when mentioning Essaouira, which basically means Magdol. That is to say a small fortress in Hebrew.

The desert of Zagora

With our Morocco tours, you will be discovering the Sahara desert of Merzouga and also Zagora. The latter is a desert without sand dunes. However, many tourists who do not have much time to travel to Merzouga, go here. Also, Zagora is a place where to do camel trekking and camping at Berber tents. The only difference between the two towns is the Ergs of the sand dunes. We don’t usually customize tours from Casablanca to Zagora, we usually do it with our tours from Marrakech. On the way from Marrakech to Zagora, there are the curves of Ait Saouen and the biggest river in Morocco of dates fruits. So, they are also worth places to explore. 

Valleys

  • Ourika Valley: about 40km from Marrakech. Many people do only one day excursion from Marrakech to enjoy the fresh air and to run away from the noise of the city.
  • Ziz Valley: One of Morocco’s biggest valley of dates palm trees. It’s near Erfoud and Merzouga desert, about two hours drive. Also, there is a national Airport at Errachidia, not far from the valley.
  • Daraa Valley: This valley is the biggest valley of dates in Morocco. We usually pass by it when driving from Merzouga to Marrakech through ait Saouen. Also, when traveling from Marrakech to Zagora desert.
