Day 1: Marrakech to Dades via Ait Benhaddou and Ouarzazate
We’re offering an exciting and fun 3-day tour From Marrakech to the Sahara Desert of Merzouga. Our tour will begin with us picking you up from your lodging or another meeting spot. We’ll start by driving through the stunning Atlas Mountains and stop at the Tizi nTichka pass (2260m), where you can visit some Argan oil cooperatives (optional stop). Then we’ll head over to Ait Benhaddou, a beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site that’s famous for being an excellent spot for movies due to its unique towers and clay architecture.
Next, we’ll go to Ouarzazate, where we’ll have a delicious lunch at one of the top restaurants. We’ll also visit Atlas Studios, which is a production company that rents out equipment and has been used for many famous shows and movies like Game of Thrones and Prison Break. We’ll end the day at the Dades Gorges, where we’ll spend the night. Dinner and Breakfast included.
Day 2: Dades to Merzouga desert via Todra Canyons
Morning Magic: Start your day fueled up with breakfast, then jump in a car for a scenic drive through the Dades Valley. Nicknamed the “1000 Kasbahs Route,” this journey is like stepping back in time, surrounded by traditional Moroccan forts.

This time, we’ll pass through the cool desert town of Alnif, where lunch awaits at the famous Nkob spot. Feeling refreshed, we’ll zoom through the Ait-Saouen mountain pass and wind our way back to Marrakech. By the time the sun sets, we’ll drop you back at your Marrakech digs (or the airport, if you wish). And just like that, your epic 3-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga desert comes to a close!
