The adventure continues across the Middle and High Atlas Mountains to the Sahara Desert in Merzouga. Here, you will experience camel trekking and spend the night in a desert camp. Finally, on the way to Marrakech, you will visit beautiful places like the Tinghir Valley, Todra and Dades Gorges, the Rose Valley, Ouarzazate, and the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou.
Your 5-day desert tour from Tangier starts with a pickup from your accommodation or the port/airport in Tangier. First, we will drive through the Rif Mountains toward Chefchaouen, also known as the Blue City. Here, you will have free time to walk around the city’s blue streets. It is a small city that can be visited in 3 to 4 hours.
Furthermore, you can start the walking tour by visiting Uta Hammam square and the Kasbah, as they are in the city center. Then, head up for a panoramic view from the Spanish mosque, taking pictures along the way.
After exploring Chefchaouen, we will continue the drive toward Fes, where we will spend the night.
After breakfast at your accommodation in Fes, you will meet up with a local guide to visit the most interesting attractions of the city. We will divide the trip into two sections, one with the car, and another walking through the alleys of the old city.
First, we will take the car to the new city, where we will discover the Royal Palace and the Mellah. After that, we will continue the drive to visit Borj North and a cooperative of ceramics.
Secondly, we will start the walking tour with the guide. You will walk through the narrow streets of the medina, visit interesting attractions like the Al Quaraouiyine Mosque (the oldest university in the world), the Bou Inania Madrasa, and the Chouara tanneries.
Finally, we will drop you off back in your accommodation and you will have a free evening on your own.
On the third day of the 5 day tour from Tangier to Marrakech, we will leave Fes and begin our journey toward the Sahara Desert. First, we will drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains, where we will make two stops, in Ifrane and the Cedar forest. Ifrane, known as the little Switzerland of Morocco for its clean streets and alpine-style houses. Not to mention that it is listed as the cleanest city in Africa. Next, we drive through to the Cedar Forest, where we will visit the Barbary monkeys.
Then, we continue south of the country, passing by Berber Nomads, villages, and enjoying views of the Ziz Valley and Gorges. In the late afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga, the beginning of the Grand Sahara desert that covers 11 countries.
We will start the desert adventure with a camel ride across the golden dunes, making a stop for the sunset. At last, head to the desert camp, have dinner, and enjoy traditional Berber music around the campfire. Finally, you will have free time for stargazing.
On the fourth day of the trip, we leave Merzouga and head toward Rissani. First, we will start the day with a morning walk through one of the biggest traditional souks in Morocco. If it is a market day, which is usually on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, it gets very crowded with locals from the surrounding areas, including the desert.
Furthermore, we then continue our journey through desert landscapes and palm groves of Fzna until we reach Tinghir. We will make some stops along the way before reaching Todra Gorges. Here, you will have free time to explore the area.
After having lunch, we drive to Boumalne Dades, visiting the Curves of Tissdrine and the Monkey Toes Mountains.
Finally, we will head to your accommodation in Dades and spend the night there.
After breakfast in Dades, we will start our journey to Marrakech. First, we will drive through the Rose Valley and Skoura Oases, known for growing the Damas Roses and endless palm groves.

Many scenes of famous movies and series like Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Prince of Persia, Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, and many more were filmed here.
Next, we will visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. This fortress is the most popular of its kind and was used to serve as a stop station for the camel caravan traders in the past. Here, you will have time to walk around the kasbah and learn about its history.

The trip to Morocco with my friends was an unforgettable experience, not only for the beauty of the various places visited but also thanks to the professionalism, availability and kindness of the staff of this wonderful agency, especially thanks to Hassan.
The tour was planned in detail and allowed us to discover Morocco in an authentic way, making us know not only the tourist destinations but also the most particular ones, reserved for locals.
Words are not enough to express the gratitude felt for Touring in Morocco so I can only recommend it if you want to discover this country.
Thank you so much!!! <3

We just completed a wonderful 6-day tour with Touring in Morocco and Mubarak as our driver. We started in Tangier, to Fes, to Merzouga all the way to Marrakesh. As a group of 7 women, is was important for us to feel safe and secure. From the time we started communicating with Aziz, to the time we met Mubarak, to the very end, everything was so easy and pleasant. Mubarak is an excellent driver – very helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating. He taught us many things – including many words in Berber and Arabic. We are so glad we went with this smaller company. The service is very personalized, and the tour came at a very reasonable price. Don’t hesitate to book with them. You won’t regret it!
Experience more than positive … the beautiful imperial cities but nothing exceeds the experience in the desert and the view of the sunset on the camel. Accompanyer Hamid and Hassan driver always present and careful to solve all the unexpected .We will gladly remember Morocco for its colors and its scents .Highly recommended
